Libya orders importers, exporters to register on unified digital trade system
The Ministry of Economy and Trade has called on all importers and exporters operating in the Libyan market, as well as shipping, transport and maritime companies, to begin registering with the Unified Digital Trade System (PTS), operated by the Libya Trade Network.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry said the move aims to enhance transparency and modernise digital procedures for foreign trade operations, including imports and exports.
The registration requirement is part of the implementation of Cabinet Decision No. 637 of 2024, which regulates transactions within the Libya Trade Network.
The ministry stressed that all companies operating in the sector must comply with the registration process through the official portal, starting from 15 January.
