Morocco to Record 18 Million Tourist Arrivals in 2025
Rabat – A report on public institutions and enterprises forecasts that Morocco will record 18 million tourist arrivals by the end of 2025.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance published the report this week, accompanying the 2026 Finance Bill.
The report attributed the increase in tourism arrivals to efforts to strengthen air connectivity and promotion campaigns as part of the 2023-2026 roadmap.
It also cited three-year investment projections that foresee a budget of MAD 2.5 billion ($270.92 million) in 2026, as well as plans Morocco’s Tourism Office (ONMT) has to implement investment programs to boost the industry.
The report stated that ONMT achieved an investment of MAD 500 million ($54.18 million) out of a forecast total of MAD 2 billion ($216.73 million), representing an estimated compilation rate of 60%. The office aims to extend the momentum during the 2027-2028 period through different programs and projects.
The initiatives include the creation of new air routes as well as boosting partnerships with tour operators and online travel agencies. The strategy seeks to consolidate the growth of Moroccan tourism and enhance Morocco’s international visibility as a destination.
Earlier this month, Morocco’s Tourism Ministry said the North African country welcomed 15 million tourists by the end of September 2025.
The number marks a 14% increase compared to the same period last year. The month of September alone recorded 1.4 million arrivals, an increase of 9% year-on-year.
Last year, Morocco welcomed at least 17.4 million tourists. The goal is to reach 26 million tourists by 2030.
